Change Strategy for individuals

The Change Strategy process gives you a clear path and the support you need to make smart, self-directed decisions about what’s next.

The Change Strategy Process Is Right for You If…

  • You’re facing a major life shift—like a career change, move, midlife transition, or retirement—and want your next steps to align with who you are now and who you want to be.

  • You feel stuck or frustrated—at work, in a relationship, or in life—and know it’s time for change, but aren’t sure which direction to take.

  • Life has thrown you a curveball—through job loss, illness, divorce, or bereavement—and you need to rebuild your life around what has meaning for you now.

  • You want to commit to fixing something that's been lingering: whether it's establishing more meaningful friendships, creating a life beyond work, renewing your health in midlife, or healing a long-festering relationship.

The professional women that get the most out of the Change Strategy process have:

  • an urgency to figure out the next phase of their life,

  • are lifelong learners and have invested in their health, education, and interests in the past, and

  • are energized by collaboration.

The Change Strategy process can produce these results:

  • Confident decisions and strategies for manifesting this next chapter in your life

  • Peace of mind with no second guessing about your direction

  • A restructured life that supports what you prioritize and what sustains you

  • Increased self-awareness about your patterns of thinking and behavior and how to work with them productively

  • Clear boundaries to protect your time and energy without apology

  • Deep experience with Change Strategy as a repeatable process you can use on future life transitions

Three steps to decide whether Change Strategy is right for you:

  1. You’ll schedule a free, one-hour consultation with me from this website. Yes—we’ll have a full 60-minute conversation on Zoom with no pressure or commitment.

  2. You will fill out the application that comes with your email confirmation. Filling out this application gives both of us some basic information that will allow us to focus on you during our time together.

  3. In your Free Consult, I’ll learn about you, what you’re facing and offer my recommendations. If it feels like a fit, I’ll invite you to become a Change Strategy client and then it’s up to you to decide whether that’s best for you. No pressure. If I can’t help you, I’ll direct you to other resources.

If you choose to become a client, we will start by working together for three months.

  • Each month you will have two sessions of 90 minutes.

These sessions can be in-person in my Seattle office, via Zoom or a mixture of both.

  • After your first 3-month series, you may choose to continue with more Change Strategy sessions if your circumstances warrant more time.

Three months is often enough to move through a meaningful arc of change—especially with focused support. Some clients, however, choose to come for longer periods of time based on what’s happening in their lives.

  • After you finish the Change Strategy program, you may choose to return for occasional mentoring sessions.

Some clients choose to schedule one or two sessions per year to discuss new circumstances that have complicated their lives or to create a strategic plan for the next year.

More questions?

  • Your work reflects who you are. And when your identity shifts, your career often needs to shift too. Some people want greater impact or purpose. Others need more freedom, less pressure, or time for what’s been neglected.

Whatever the reason, the deeper goal is the same: to do work that fits who you are now and supports who you're becoming.

Change Strategy offers a structured, three-stage process to help you clarify what matters most and map a path that supports both your ambition and your well-being.

    Clients often ask:

    • What’s next now that I’ve hit a major milestone?

    • Should I take this promotion—or walk away?

    • How do I grow without burning out?

    • I’m early in my career and feel lost. Where do I begin?

    • If I’m retiring, how do I make this next chapter meaningful?

We start by clarifying your values, patterns, and inner drivers. You’ll surface untapped strengths, update old stories, and discover options that may not be visible from where you stand today. Then we build a plan—realistic, purpose-driven, and designed to last.

This isn’t just about what’s next. It’s about what’s right for you, now and going forward.

  • Few experiences upend our sense of control and identity more profoundly than illness or loss. Whether you're navigating chronic pain, a life-altering diagnosis, the limitations of aging, or the death of someone you love, the ground beneath you can shift in ways that are disorienting and deeply painful.

Clients come to this work carrying questions that are both intensely personal and existential in nature:

    • How do I grieve and move forward after the loss of someone central to my life?

    • How do I stay emotionally connected to my partner when illness has changed what’s possible between us?

    • Should I pursue aggressive medical treatment—or make peace with a different path?

    • How do I honor my body’s limitations while still contributing in ways that feel meaningful?

    • If I’m facing the end of my life, how can I help my family prepare—practically and emotionally?

    • How do I plan for future care if I’m aging or ill and don’t have family nearby?

    • What can I do when I feel unseen—or even harmed—by the medical system?

In our work together, we’ll create space for the fear, disorientation, and grief that often accompany these moments—without letting them define you. One of the most important outcomes of the Change Strategy process is how it will help you name what’s hard, clarify what matters most, and identify where you still have agency. We’ll use these insights to help you discern how to live this next phase with peace, dignity, and meaning.

  • Sometimes, the most difficult part of navigating personal change isn’t the change itself—but how it ripples through the most important relationships in your life. A divorce, a partner’s resistance to growth, the shifting needs of aging parents or children—all of these can require you to reimagine your home, your daily routines, your social world, and even how you mark life’s milestones.

Here are some of the questions my clients often bring to this work:

    • How do I make a major life decision that will significantly affect my partner or my children?

    • As I grow, how do I reckon with the lack of intimacy—emotional, spiritual, sexual, or intellectual—in a relationship that isn’t growing with me?

    • How do I steady myself when I can no longer filter my daily decisions through the lens of my partnership?

    • Should I move closer to aging parents—and how do I weigh that choice alongside my own needs?

    • If I leave this relationship, how can I make sure I don’t repeat old patterns?

Using the Change Strategy process, we’ll unpack the real questions beneath the surface as you move through the three stages of this transition. You’ll develop deeper insight into what’s yours to carry—and what isn’t. We’ll isolate the essential issues, expand the options in front of you, and shape a path forward that honors both your relationships and your integrity. Whether you’re redefining boundaries, reimagining partnership, or reshaping family life, you’ll do so with clarity, compassion, and the self-trust to lead your life forward.

  • Where we live shapes nearly every aspect of our well-being. The decision to relocate, whether for personal, professional, or family reasons, touches more than just geography. It stirs questions of identity, belonging, partnership, and stability.

You may be moving away from people you cherish, or closer to family members with whom relationships are strained. Your partner may feel resistant. You might be leaving behind a support system, navigating new school systems, or managing culture shock in unfamiliar surroundings. Even when a move is for a promising opportunity, it can be disorienting, costly, and emotionally complex.

    Clients often bring questions like:

    • How do I know this move is the right choice—financially, emotionally, and practically?

    • What does it look like to grieve what I’m leaving, while still embracing what’s ahead?

    • How can I support my partner, children, or close friends while holding space for my own needs?

    • How do I find grounding in a new city and rebuild a community from scratch?

    • What strategies will set me up for success in a new role or work culture?

    • How do I monitor my own energy and capacity to ensure this transition is sustainable?

Together, we’ll take a comprehensive look at your goals, values, and current life demands. When you enroll in Change Strategy work, you’ll build a clear, forward-facing plan for the coming months—one that accounts for both logistics and emotional impact. As you move through the transition, we’ll strengthen your internal resources, deepen your self-awareness, and ensure you’re not just relocating—you’re landing well. With clarity, intention, and support, you’ll create a new chapter that feels both grounded and genuinely yours.

  • The Change Strategy process is a versatile and deeply personal framework that can be applied to a wide range of life transitions and challenges. At its core, this work asks for a commitment to self-discovery, a willingness to reevaluate what’s no longer serving you, and the courage to imagine a life of meaning—one where your contributions extend beyond personal gain.

Clients often come to me with questions like:

    • How do I build friendships when my professional demands leave little space for connection?

    • How can I make sure daily life is sustainable if I take on a major new leadership role?

    • How do I rethink retirement—not just as an ending, but as a new source of income and purpose?

    • How do I return to work with confidence after chemotherapy has temporarily altered my energy and capacities?

    • How do I heal my body image and open myself to dating again after my divorce?

    • What does it mean to make peace with a life that didn’t unfold exactly as planned—and still find joy and pride in where I’ve landed?

    • How do I move through the hurt and humiliation of being laid off so that I don’t carry those wounds into my next opportunity?

    • How should I change my life now that I got a large inheritance?

In every case, the work is the same at its heart: we clarify what matters most, create new possibilities, and chart a way forward that’s both purposeful and sustainable.
